Observe whether the control panel triggers the audible and visual alarms within 30 seconds. For temperature detectors, use a heat gun to increase the temperature to the alarm threshold (usually 54-70°C) at a rate of ≤1°C/second to verify the response speed.
•Infrared/Microwave Detectors: Verify that the detectors accurately identify intrusion by simulating human movement (such as slow lateral movement) or using a dedicated test signal source.
3. Alarm Panel Verification
When any detector is triggered, the panel must display the alarm location code in real time and activate the local audible and visual alarm (volume ≥ 85dB). Additionally, verify that the system automatically sends a signal to the monitoring center (if connected to the network) and records the event timestamp.
4. Linked Device Testing
Verify that after an alarm is triggered, related linked devices (such as electromagnetic lock release and smoke exhaust fan activation) operate according to the pre-set logic. For example, manually simulate a fire alarm using the panel to verify that the fire door closes and the ventilation system switches to smoke exhaust mode.
5. Troubleshooting and Recording
After the test is complete, use a multimeter to check the line insulation resistance (≥ 20MΩ) and short circuit conditions, and note any false alarms or missed alarms. All test data must be recorded in the "Alarm System Test Report," including response time, device status, and maintenance recommendations.
